H&L Electric is a multifaceted licensed electrical and communication construction firm doing business in New York and New Jersey since 1989. Our project areas include hotels, museums, data centers, offices, commercial stores, communication/radio rooms, Revenue Control System installations and maintenance, and emergency call/dispatch centers.
Our work includes Emergency Generators, Fire Alarm Systems, Smoke Detection Systems, Public Address and Nurse Call Stations, Lighting Fixtures, Branch Circuiting, Modifications to old and new Service Equipment and Feeders, Telecommunication, Motor Wiring, HVAC Control Wiring, Audio / Visual Systems, Security and Card Access Systems.
Three generations of Sokoloff’s have been part of H&L Electric since its founding by brothers Lloyd and Hal.

H&L Electric currently holds union agreements with Local Union #3, 164, 269, 351, 400, 456, IBEW and is members of the New York Electrical Contractors Association (NYECA) and National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). Hal Sokoloff, one of H&L Electric’s executives, was a past President and Governor of the New York Electrical Contractors Association.
In 2009 we became a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.
